    Description EMR/EMF Shielding Paint uses a high-quality nickel flake to provide shielding to help reduce EMF & RF frequencies and EMR radiation, including Wi-Fi and 5G.     Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease. Remove all loose and flaking material and, if previously wallpapered, remove all traces of paste and size. Prime bare plaster with ECOS Plaster Sealer, and bare sheetrock, with ECOS Drywall Primer. This product can be painted directly onto wallpaper but this is not recommended as the product is intended to be a permanent structural feature. WARNING: Older buildings may contain lead-based paint, which requires professional remediation if it is disturbed. If in doubt, consult with a professional from a Lead-Safe Certified Firm.
    Application and Clean Up READ ALL APPLICATION NOTES BEFORE COMMENCING. Do not thin. Stir gently and thoroughly before use. Apply in two medium coats with a 6 - 9" foam or short pile gloss roller, ensure the first coat is fully dry before recoating (minimum of 4hrs). Normally touch dry in 1-2 hours. Avoid temperatures below 41°F (5°C) and above 68°F (20°C). Once the EMR/EMF Shielding Paint is dry it can be finished by over-coating with any of our wall paints and, once earthed, the shielding paint is activated against both high and low frequency radiations. If protection is needed against high frequencies only (microwaves, mobile telephone masts, etc.) then grounding is not necessary. However, for full shielding efficiency, it is essential that this product be earthed (grounded). This can easily be achieved as follows: 1. Turn OFF the power to all electrical circuits in the area. If in doubt about how to do this, consult a qualified electrician. 2. Loosen the screws of all the light switch and power socket panels. 3. When painting, extend the paint over the edge of the metal box behind the plate, as this should be grounded. 4. If boxes are plastic, a grounding wire should be extended to the edge of the box and this used as the grounding point for the paint.
