DIY Birch Tree Mural Using Lullaby Paints

Lullaby 11/20/2014

If you didn’t know it already, we LOVE wall art and we love seeing all the creative ways that people use Lullaby Paints! Our non-toxic* paints let you focus on the creative side of things (instead of worrying about toxic VOCs), so you can let your imagination run wild and make your home absolutely amazing! That’s exactly what Supriya did and she shared it with the world on her blog, Wading Through Soup. She shows how she painted a DIY Birch tree mural using Lullaby Paints chalkboard paint that was actually left over from painting an entire wall. What an absolutely brilliant idea for using up your paint!

Here are some photos from Supriya’s post about the project:

birchtape

First, she sketched the shape of the trees with pencil, but then decided it would be faster to just do the outlines of the trees with painter’s tape. Notice the small horizontal pieces of tape that she used to add texture. This adds a great artistic touch!

This is the finished wall – isn’t it lovely? It adds so much more character to the room than if it wasn’t there and it was all done with a bit of leftover paint!

As if this wasn’t inspiring enough, you’ll never guess what she did with all of the boxes that the Lullaby Paints were shipped in. She came up with a fun art project for her and her two-year-old son!

They painted on a few boxes every day until they had some awesome looking, gigantic building blocks. What fun! We’re sure any kid would have a great time both painting them and then playing with them later!

Thanks Supriya for sharing both of these inspiring projects!
