A Violet Pearl Natural and Neutral Nursery

Lullaby 11/22/2016

We think it's pretty safe to say that everyone was shocked when Pantone released not one, but two colors of the year for 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity. The colors were chosen together because of their combination of warmth and tranquility. However, there was an unnamed pastel purple lost in the ombre between the Pantone picks. We're proud to feature the unsung hero of 2016 for all of your nursery design needs, Violet Pearl. And today we're sharing a design board showcasing this hue in a natural and neutral nursery.

This Violet Pearl inspiration board, created by Esther from Buy Modern Baby, makes us feel like we're floating on a cloud. She blends the violet with pastel pinks and blues, and she uses twinkling gold details that mimic the soft shimmer of a sunset. The cloud motif and blonde woods elevate the airiness of the violet, Violet Pearl by Lullaby Paints.

Here's what Esther had to say about working with this color:

"I have to admit that purple walls are tricky. As the mother of boys, pink was a challenge I had to learn to overcome, but purple is an even more difficult proposition. Now Lullaby Paints has many shades of purple, but I was looking for a light shade with a little more pink in it than blue. Violet Pearl is just on the purple side of neutral but for this board, it became the boldest color in the palette. The room is so neutral that you could really pick YOUR favorite shade of Lullaby Paint and with a new rug and piece of art, you’d still have a perfect nursery."
