Using Marsala in the Nursery, Pantone's Color of the Year

Pantone has announced its color of the year and, as always, it definitely gets people talking. This year's color is called Marsala and we think it's a strikingly beautiful color that has wonderful possibilities in the nursery. Pantone says that Marsala is, “Dramatic and at the same time grounding, the rich and full-bodied red-brown Marsala brings color warmth into home interiors.”  We couldn’t agree more and we can see this earthy shade bringing a touch of warmth to the fabulous cooler grays that have been replacing beiges as a neutral. Here are some ideas for using Marsala in the nursery.

Our good friend Esther from Buy Modern Baby created a Pinboard featuring this color and she says it was difficult because there aren’t a lot of kid’s products in wine shades as of yet.
