The air in your home may be two to five times more polluted than the air outside. Our revolutionary air-purifying products transform the surfaces of your home into air filters, trapping harmful VOCs and removing toxic chemicals from the air you breathe.
What our customers are saying...
"This is the best paint I have ever used, and I've tried almost all of the low VOC paints. The colors are beautiful, the coverage is perfect, and the paint goes on smoothly. I have horrible smell sensitivities, and this paint NEVER bothers me. This is the only paint I will be using from now on.”

FAQs About Air Purifying Paints & Primers
-
Conventional paints are a major contributor to poor indoor air quality. Many contain chemicals that cause headaches and nausea, or trigger asthma and allergy attacks. Paint fumes can linger for days, and can even be problematic for sensitive individuals several months after application.
As conventional paint dries, the chemicals that keep it in its liquid form start to evaporate into the air, leading to that all-too-familiar "new paint" smell. Since most paints contain less than 50% solids, a considerable amount of gas often gets released into a freshly painted room.
-
The off-gassing process for conventional products can last for several days, weeks, or even months. The amount of ventilation plays a role in how long paint fumes persist, but most people can’t leave a room unoccupied while they wait for it to air out.
-
Nope. Using a unique technology combining sustainable ingredients and a proprietary mixing process, our products deliver best-in-class appearance and enhanced durability - with no harsh fumes or odors. With our coatings, customers don't need to worry about leaving their freshly painted homes for days so that rooms can “air out".
-
Our air-purifying paint products contain a molecular sieve that is designed to both stop harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from being released into the air and trap them as they float through a room. The sieve’s non-toxic crystalline tubes are designed to filter specific harmful VOCs, including formaldehyde, glycol, and benzene.

Many ECOS Paints customers use our products to mask odors coming from walls, furniture, and fittings in their homes. The sources of the odors include paint (old and new), drywall, particle board, man-made materials, and even some natural products like wood.
In these cases, customers applied ECOS paint, primer, or varnish over the offending surface to trap VOCs before being released into the air and eliminate the unwanted smells in their homes.
